Its hard to believe that I have been home since June. I haven't stepped foot on the campus at Iowa State since my last final in December, and in a few short days (Monday) I will take my first steps on campus as a Senior. I can't believe how fast time has gone by these past 3 years at Iowa State.
Recruitment started this week for all of the sororities on campus. Its been great to catch up with friends that I haven't seen since last winter! But I was feeling very nostalgic the other day, when everyone started to ask about my Disney experience. Its really hard to put in words "how" Disney was, or "how" my semester was. I always end up saying, "It was amazing!" and hope they ask me more specific questions. I could honestly talk about my Disney Experience for hours. There are so many things I did, so many people I met, so many memories made, and so much knowledge gained from the whole experience. Its hard to believe that the Disney Chapter in my life is over. I miss Orlando, my friends, my roommates, the crappy apartment, Liberty Tree Tavern, EPCOT, Gaston, and even the crappy bus system that got me to work. I am seriously so blessed, lucky, and honored to have been able to have such an amazing opportunity my junior year of college.
Someone wise once said "you will never be completely at home again, because part of your heart will always be elsewhere. That is the price you pay for the richness of loving and knowing people in more than one place." I left part of my heart in Disney, and I cannot wait until I get back there, some day.
Thank You, Disney, for opening the door of a million opportunities that will come my way post graduation. I owe it all to you, Mickey!
XOXO until next time,
Samantha
